To promote and regulate the development and practice of Ayurvedic and Unani systems of medicine, a committee was formed in 1925 under the chairmanship of Justice Gokaran Nath Mishra. Based on the recommendations of this committee, the Indian Medical Board was established in 1926. The board was entrusted with the responsibility of proposing measures for the advancement of Indian medical systems, registering Vaidyas and Hakims, and regulating the study and practice of these traditional systems of medicine.

Uttar Pradesh Waqf Vikas Nigam Limited was established on April 27, 1987, by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Section 617 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956. The primary objective of the corporation is to strengthen the economic condition of Waqf properties located in the state and promote their development. The corporation also functions as a departmental construction agency and initiates new projects for the better utilization of Waqf assets.

The Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR) was established on June 14, 1989, with its headquarters located in Lucknow. Established to strengthen urban governance and improve quality of life in cities, the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA), Uttar Pradesh, plays a vital role in implementing urban development schemes. It acts as a bridge between the state government and local urban bodies to ensure efficient execution of centrally sponsored programs such as the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
